The 32nd edition of the "Take Care - Surakemu Magathota" road safety programme took place on September 23, 2025, at St. Anthony's College, Wattala. This important initiative is organized under the Clean Sri Lanka programme, targeting school children to promote road safety awareness from a young age.
Jointly organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, Sri Lanka Police, and the Independent Television Network (ITN), the programme aims to instill responsible road behavior and reduce traffic accidents across the country. The event highlighted the importance of road discipline and adherence to traffic laws to cultivate a safer community for all road users.
During the programme, schoolchildren actively participated in educational sessions that focused on traffic regulations, pedestrian safety, and accident prevention measures. The collaboration between government agencies and media organizations underlines the national commitment to fostering a culture of road safety awareness throughout Sri Lanka.
