33rd Edition of “Take Care - Surakemu Magathota” Road Safety Programme Successfully Held at Panadura

The 33rd edition of the “Take Care - Surakemu Magathota” Road Safety Programme, aimed at educating school children, was successfully conducted on 24th September 2025 at Sri Sumangala Boys' College, Panadura. This key initiative is jointly organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, Sri Lanka Police, and the Independent Television Network (ITN) under the Clean Sri Lanka Initiative.

The programme featured comprehensive theory and practical sessions led by the Sri Lanka Police focusing on road rules and ethics that everyone should follow while using public roads. The sessions emphasized the importance of responsible behavior, adherence to traffic laws, and safety measures to reduce road accidents.

Students actively participated in the educational activities, demonstrating enthusiasm and awareness about the significance of road safety. The collaboration between government bodies and media underlines the national commitment to fostering a culture of safety and responsibility on the roads from a young age.
