A Clean Coastline in Trincomalee District – An Attractive Tourist Destination!

Trincomalee District, located in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province, is renowned for its naturally deep harbor, picturesque beaches, and unique experiences blending history, culture, and nature. Since the end of the war, Trincomalee has become a major tourist hub on the eastern coastline. The district boardered over 150 kilometers of coastline. Nilaveli Beach is the most famous in Trincomalee, known for its white sands and crystal-clear waters, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Nearby, Pigeon Island, a coral sanctuary, is a popular spot for diving. Uppuveli Beach, located closer to Trincomalee town, offers a livelier atmosphere than Nilaveli, with plenty of hotels and restaurants. The beaches of Trincomalee District offer a unique tourist experience with tranquil, clear waters, beautiful coral reefs, and a rich historical backdrop.
