Today (02-12-2025) marks the launch of an important environmental initiative targeting the restoration of water sources impacted by recent disasters.  began with a collaborative effort between the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat and the Western Provincial Council.

The program is being coordinated from the Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat, serving as the central hub for this significant operation. This clean up campaign aims to safeguard the health and safety of affected communities by restoring the purity and sustainability of vital water resources.

Officials from both organizations emphasized the urgent need to address water contamination following recent natural disasters and highlighted the commitment to environmental sustainability under the national 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative.

Community volunteers and local authorities are expected to play key roles as the program progresses across affected regions in the Western Province, with plans to expand similar efforts nationwide in the future.

This initiative reaffirms the government's dedication to rebuilding resilient infrastructure and promoting environmental health for all citizens.
