Under the “Clean Sri Lanka” national programme, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Training, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation, Hadabima Authority, and S-Lon PLC, a new initiative titled “Soba Sip Wadula” has been launched to promote moral values among schoolchildren by connecting education with nature.
The project aims to establish green zones in 50 selected schools countrywide, creating an educational environment that supports the cognitive and ethical development of students through interaction with the natural world.
The inaugural ceremony of this programme is scheduled for October 2, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., at the Ratmalana Hindu College, with the Honorable Prime Minister as the chief guest.
This initiative reflects a commitment to nurturing a generation grounded in ethical values, environmental awareness, and academic excellence, contributing to the broader vision of a sustainable and prosperous Sri Lanka.
